ACT Mouthrinse or Anticavity Fluoride Rinse ACT®
- Johnson&Johnson® is alcohol-free, mint-flavored
dental rinse.
Indications: Caries (root and/or coronal),
decalcification: White spot lesions. Combined daily use of a fluoride preventive
treatment rinse and a fluoride toothpaste can help reduce the incidence of
dental cavities.
Warnings: Keep out of the reach of children. If more than used for
rinsing is swallowed, seek professional
assistance or contact a Poison Control Center. Do not purchase if imprinted seal
around bottle dispenser is torn or missing.
Active Ingredient: Sodium Fluoride
0.05%
(0.02% w/v fluoride ion).
Inactive Ingredients: Cetylpyridinium Chloride,
Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, Edetate Calcium Disodium, FD&C green No.3, FD&C yellow
No.5 (tartrazine) as a color additive, Flavor, Menthol, Methyl Salicylate,
Monobasic Sodium Phosphate, Poloxamer 407, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate,
Propylene Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Dihydrate, Sodium Saccharin, Sorbitol, Water.
Directions: Adult and children 6 years of age
and older:
A. Use once a day after brushing your teeth with a toothpaste
B. Hold bottle upright and squeeze. Fill to FILL LINE
C. Pour out. Only the correct 10 milliliters dose will pour out
D. Vigorously swish 10 milliliters of mouthwash between your teeth for 1 minute
and than spit out
E. Do not swallow the rinse
F. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after rinsing
H. Instruct children under 12 years of age in good rinsing habits (to minimize
swallowing)
I. Supervise children as necessary until capable of using without supervision

A. Do not use if a child under 6 years
B. Consult a dentist or doctor
